Will you use brokerage data to generate shipper rates?
No, the data will be completely siloed. Shipper models will not include data from the broker database and vice versa. Each broker customer's data is protected via our mutual agreements. In addition, the two products will be maintained as separate entities, with separate dedicated teams.
What enhancements will crossover between shippers and brokers?
There will be similar versions of some products for both shippers and brokers. For example, short-term and long-term predictions will be tailored to each customer set's data. However, features like capacity on tap will remain exclusive to brokers, while we will develop demand forecasting tools specifically for shippers.
How will you avoid disintermediation of the broker?
Through this new product, we will NOT introduce shippers to new carriers. Brokers play a crucial role in the logistics industry. While disintermediation is a general risk with technological advancement, we believe it doesn't apply to our specific case. Instead, our goal is to manage longer-term, more consistent relationships between brokers and shippers.
What kind of shippers do you plan to serve?
We are currently running a pilot program with shippers to gather the necessary information. Initially, we expect to focus on smaller shippers and those heavily involved in the spotmarket. As we develop more long-term tools, we plan to expand to larger, contract-focused shippers.
What is the Greenscreens: For Shippers Pilot Program?
This pilot program is available for a limited time to a handful of early adopters. Availability is first come first serve. The program is 60 days with no obligation in which Greenscreens will provide spot market rate insights. After the successful completion of the pilot project, participants can choose to continue a commercial relationship with Greenscreens continuing to leverage the power of our advanced predictions for spot and contract freight insights.
